Frequently Asked Questions.

  • What is your style?

My style is relaxed, natural, and documentary. I want to capture your day exactly as it unfolds — genuine, unposed, and full of emotion. I’m not one for stiff editorial poses or overly styled shots (unless you want them). It’s your story, and I want to tell it honestly — with laughter, love, and a few silly moments too.

  • Do we have to pose?

Not really! My prompts are gentle and natural — things like “wrap your arms around each other like you’ve just got home from work.” From there, I’ll let you chat, laugh, and be yourselves while I capture the magic.
If you do enjoy posing, I’ve got plenty of flattering prompts ready too. It’s all about what feels right for you.

  • Do you have insurance?

Yes, of course! I’m fully insured, including public liability (which most venues require). I’m happy to provide all the necessary documentation if your venue needs to see it.

  • Do you travel?

Yes – and we love it! We travel all over the UK, from north to south, east to west. We haven’t yet photographed a wedding abroad, but we’d be thrilled to! We’re seasoned travellers and happy to go wherever your love story takes us.

  • Can we meet you before booking?

Of course! If you’re in Yorkshire or North Lincolnshire, we can meet for a cuppa.
If you’re further away, we can hop on a Zoom call — I’d love to chat and get to know you both.

  • Can we see full wedding galleries?

Absolutely. A few of my lovely couples have kindly agreed to share their full galleries with potential clients. Some couples prefer to keep theirs private, and I always respect that.
You’re welcome to browse the available galleries, but please don’t download or share the images online — these are intimate moments from someone’s special day.

  • Do you offer custom packages?

Yes! I’m happy to create a package that fits your exact needs. Just fill out my contact form with as much detail as possible, and we’ll tailor something perfect together.

  • How do we book?

That’s great — I’d love to work with you! Simply click the booking link and get in touch. Once we’ve chatted and confirmed details, your date is secured with a deposit.

  • When are payments due?

A £400 deposit is due when signing the contract to secure your wedding date.
For family or couple sessions, it’s a £50 deposit.
The remaining balance is due closer to your date (details provided in your contract).

  • Do you offer engagement shoots?

Yes — engagement shoots are £200 (or £250 when booked separately from a wedding package). Travel and accommodation may apply if we’re shooting more than an hour from DN17.
They’re a brilliant way to get comfortable in front of the camera and to capture some beautiful pre-wedding memories.

Bring the kids and the fur babies if you want to.

  • What is a pre-wedding shoot?

It’s simply another term for an engagement shoot — a relaxed session before your wedding where we get to know each other, explore a beautiful location, and capture some lovely, stress-free moments.

  • Do you take group photos?

Only if you want them! I always say they’re perfect for parents and grandparents who’ll proudly frame them on their walls, but it’s entirely your choice. It’s your day.

  • Do we need to feed you on the day?

I have a nut allergy, so you never have to feed me, so that’ll save you a bit of money, haha. James, on the other hand, loves all food, but he never expects a three-course meal; a simple hot meal during your reception is hugely appreciated — it keeps him fuelled and ready to capture the evening celebrations! If that’s not in the budget, let me know and I’ll pack two pack ups.

  • What happens if it rains?

We roll with it! I’ve got clear umbrellas, waterproof gear, and even a spare outfit in the car. I also scout out indoor backup spots ahead of time so we can keep shooting no matter what the weather does.

  • What happens if you’re ill or can’t make it?

In the very unlikely event that I’m unable to attend due to illness or emergency, I have a trusted network of professional photographers I can call on to step in. You’ll be in safe, capable hands — and your images will still be edited by me to ensure consistency.

  • Do you have backup equipment?

Always. I carry backup cameras, flashes, lenses, batteries, SD cards — you name it, I’ve got a spare. Technology can be unpredictable, and I like to be ready for anything (including Mother Nature!).
I also use dual-card writing, meaning every photo is instantly backed up on a second card in case of corruption. Your memories are safe with me.

  • Are our wedding photos backed up after the wedding?

Yes, absolutely. All your images are securely backed up on multiple hard drives and cloud storage to keep them safe for 3 years after your wedding day, then the culled images may be deleted.

  • Do you edit the photos?

Every delivered image is carefully edited in my signature style. I remove distractions (like bins or blemishes) and enhance colour and light to bring your day to life beautifully.

  • How long does it take to receive our photos?

I aim to deliver your full gallery within 8–12 weeks (depending on the season and my schedule). I’ll also send you a sneak peek within the first couple of weeks so you have something lovely to share right away.

  • How many photos will we get?

It depends on the length and flow of your day, but typically between 500–1,200 images. If I stay later (for example, more than an hour after the first dance), you can expect even more.

  • How do we receive our images?

You’ll receive a personalised box with a USB containing your full gallery in both colour and black & white.
Inside, you’ll also find a QR code linking to your online gallery (private and shareable only with your chosen guests), plus a few printed sneak peeks to enjoy right away.

  • Can we share the gallery with guests?

Of course! Please share away — photography is meant to be enjoyed. If anyone posts images online or on social media, I just ask that they tag me. I love seeing which photos people adore!

  • Do you sell albums?

    Do you sell albums?

Yes, I do! Although I often recommend couples enjoy their gallery first — maybe on your first-month anniversary — and then choose your favourites for an album.
Albums are custom-designed and priced to include my time for layout and design, but I’m happy to discuss options that fit your budget.
